McAllen, TX / 2006 - Thigpen Elementary School principal Elva de Leon carries pre-kindergarten student Joycelynn Martinez away from the scene of a bus accident in McAllen. The accident involved a McAllen Independent School District (ISD) school bus carrying six children and another automobile at Bentsen Rd. and Expressway 83. Officials at the scene said the driver of the automobile rear-ended the bus and was transported to McAllen Medical Hospital for treatment of injuries. No injuries to children were reported.
